The Ophthalmology Department at Agashe Hospital has eye specialists to deal with eye conditions of every part of the eye, ranging from the front of the eye – the cornea to the back of the eye – the retina. Dr. Prachi Agashe is among the Best Paediatric Ophthalmologist in Mumbai thanks to her extensive training. After obtaining her medical degree (MBBS) from Nair Hospital in Mumbai, she became a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Ophthalmology, followed by a Fellowship in Cataract and General Ophthalmology from K.B. Haji Bachooali Eye Hospital in Mumbai. She also did a specialisation (Fellowship) in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Squint Surgery from the renowned Aravind Eye Institute at Madurai. In addition, Dr. Prachi Agashe has also undergone specific fellowship training in Retinopathy of Prematurity at the LV Prasad Eye Institute at Hyderabad, all top Eye Institutes of the country. After this, Dr. Nair got a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, Ocular Oncology and Oculo-Facial Aesthetics from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India in 2014. He also underwent Fellowship training from the International Council of Ophthalmology at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, USA.

Dr. Swapnesh Sawant completed his MBBS from Nair Hospital in 2005. He completed his MS Ophthalmology from D Y Patil Medical College and Hospital in Navi Mumbai in 2008. He obtained his Fellowship from the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) in 2009, a Fellowship from Medical Research Foundation (FMRF), Sankar Nethralaya in Chennai in 2010 and another Fellowship from the All India Ophthalmological Society in 2011. He also obtained his Diplomate of National Board (DNB) from New Delhi in 2011. In 2013, Dr. Sawant obtained yet another Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCS) in Glasgow.

Dr. Swapnesh Sawant has worked at Bachooali Hospital, JJ Hospital and is currently also consulting at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.
