Uveitis in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

We know that Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is one of the most common chronic rheumatologic diseases in children and that extra-articular manifestations include high fever, skin rash, serositis, and uveitis. Do you know which children are more prone to uveitis?

Uveitis in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis occurs in a white eye. Risk factors for uveitis in JIA include:

  • Female gender

  • Pauciarticular

  • ANA positive
